Lisa's Custom Interiors is family-owned and operated right here in Hays, KS. We treat every customer like they are family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.
Lisa Kisner is a Hays based interior designer who takes pride in her ability to transform spaces that uniquely reflect the client’s personality and desires. Having spent fifteen years in the interior design field she has developed a keen eye for creating awe-inspiring surroundings that are budget-conscious for the clients in designing their dream spaces. Lisa's emphasis is creating spaces that are extraordinarily comfortable, with a sincere attention to detail, scale, and light along with uncanny customer service. She will help you design your dream space with every aspect of the job from initial concept, to final reveal.
After graduating from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Emphases on Interior Design Degree, Lisa was employed at
Keller Furniture Galleries. There she gained a very diverse furniture background to add the finishing touches to that perfect dream space. After a year and a half at Keller’s, Lisa was presented with an opportunity to expand her knowledge in the design field.
Lisa began working at Home Depot as a Kitchen and Bath Designer and was soon promoted to Department Supervisor of the Kitchen/Bath and Appliance departments. Three and a half years at Home Depot provided her with training in 2020 design program, flooring materials, paint products, plumbing and lighting providing her with knowledge on all sides of the designing of a space.
dV8 Design in Hays saw her talent in kitchen design and quickly hired her as a full time designer. Lisa worked alongside a talented designer and business owner gaining knowledge in all aspects of design. She worked directly with clients and contractors on job sites to make sure satisfaction was obtained. With dV8 she has worked on commercial and residential projects coast to coast. dV8 taught her everything from exterior stone selections to pillows and most things in-between. She learned how to work closely with builders and construction crews on the full scope of different projects. Lisa completed courses in basic, architectural and 3-D Auto CAD with Auto CAD Institute online. This has given her the opportunity to create drawings in both 2020 and Auto CAD helping bring client’s designs to life.
Lisa and her husband John Kisner decided to pursue the dream of opening their own design business. With John's business ownership background and knowledge in the electrical field they make a great team. Their mission is to provide clients with a very personalized service that not only makes clients happy but gives them a home or business to be proud of.
